What People Want To Know
How does Pigeon Post know when someone has passed?
Pigeon Post relies on a designated administrator, chosen by the registered user to notify us of their passing. This triggers the queuing of posts for delivery. The Administrator is typically a trusted individual such as a spouse, child, close family member or friend.
How does Pigeon Post know when to send my post?
Users specify delivery dates during post creation. For posts tied to life events (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries), users can input specific dates. For posts like a "Final Post," delivery is triggered by the Administrator’s notification of passing.
Can I cancel or edit a post?
Yes. You can edit, reschedule, change recipients or administrators, or delete posts at any time. Pigeon Post is designed to be flexible and user-friendly.
How is my post delivered?
Posts are sent via a secure link to the designated recipient on the specified date. Recipients can view, listen to, or download the post securely.
Are there any hidden fees or storage costs?
No. Pigeon Post does not charge any hidden fees or additional storage costs. All pricing is transparent.
How is my data protected?
We use end-to-end encryption, secure servers, and data minimization practices. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We comply with GDPR standards to ensure your data remains secure.
Does Pigeon Post sell my data?
No. We do not sell or share your personal data. All data is used solely for the purposes outlined in Terms & Conditions.
Who can view my posts?
Only you and your designated recipient can access your posts. Only designated Pigeon Post staff have access to post content for monitoring purposes regarding prohibited content.
How can I delete my account and data?
You can request deletion by emailing XXXXX with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Include your account email for verification. All personal data (including all posts uploaded to the site for recipients) will be permanently deleted in accordance with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure). Once this is executed it will not be possible to retrieve or re-create the data.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. We partner with Mollie, a GDPR-compliant payment processor trusted by major companies. Your payment data is encrypted and securely handled.
Do I need to give consent to use the platform?
Yes. Upon registration and post creation, users must provide explicit consent for data processing. You can withdraw consent at any time, but will have legal consequences on the ability for Pigeon Post to process your posts.
